O gênero Piper e atividades antineoplásica e citotóxica in vitro e in sílico do Dilapiol: um fenilpropanoide promissor

Resumo

As espécies do gênero Piper, são amplamente descritas na literatura por suas propriedades biológicas como antineoplásica e citotóxica, parte destas atividades se tem atrelado a um dos principais componentes fitoquímicos, o Dilapiol, encontrado principalmente em Piper aduncum L.  O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o potencial anticâncer de espécies de Piper, com ênfase em P. aduncum L., além de analisar a atividade antineoplásica in vitro e in silico do Dilapiol através de uma revisão da literatura. Vinte artigos foram selecionados, no período entre 2010 a 2024. O Dilapiol apresentou atividade citotóxica frente a linhagem de células tumorais, bem como apresentou propriedades antiproliferativas, interrompendo o ciclo celular na fase G0/G1, e seus efeitos antimigratórios foram associados à desestruturação dos filamentos de actina. Modelos de modelagem molecular reforçaram esses achados biológicos, sugerindo que o Dilapiol pode ter um perfil farmacocinético favorável devido à sua natureza hidrofóbica, facilitando a permeação através das membranas celulares tumorais.
